Lil Niqo is an American rapper and songwriter. He’s known for songs like “OK Then”, “I Know”, “The Truth”, “Say So” and “Television Love”. He’s worked with a number of artists, including DJ Khaled and Akon. Niqo was born Niqoles Heard on November 23, 1999, in San Diego, California. His mother serves as his manager.
CAREER
Niqo began rapping at age 7 in the 2nd grade. His self-titled YouTube account “LilNiqo” was created in September 2007. It has since grown to 78K+ subscribers and more than 12 million video views. Niqo became the youngest hip-hop artist to sign to Def Jam Records (age 10). He’s also associated with Worldwide Entertainment and BuVision. His breakout song “OK Then” featuring DJ Khaled was released in April 2011. The official video racked up more than 4 million views on YouTube. A second single titled “Television Love” was released in July 2012. Niqo was cast as “Mini Stevie” in Randal Kirk II’s video, DGK: Parental Advisory (2012). He was featured in the TV documentary short, On the Spot Interviews (2012). He performed on BET’s The Youngster Cypher in 2012. He was also featured in a 2012 episode of Fox’s ‘The Finder’, alongside 50 Cent, Michael Duncan and Jacob Latimore.
Niqo was a contestant on season one of Jermaine Dupri‘s ‘The The Rap Game’. The show ran on Lifetime from January 1 to February 26, 2016. The title went to fellow rapper Miss Mulatto. Niqo was featured on Sy Ari Da Kid’s 2013 single “Taken”. He collaborated with Cravetay on the track “Making Plans”, and with Miss Mulatto on “Tough on the Internet”. His more recent songs include “Really Real”, “Crush” and “The City”.
